Posted on 5/23/2018 by Manhattan Maxillofacial Surgery Group
After having an oral surgery procedure performed in your mouth, it's especially important to watch out for any signs of infection that you may be experiencing. The opening in your mouth that's formed by surgery puts it at an increased risk for infections to form. That's why it's important to know what signs and symptoms to look for. A fever is also very common in those suffering from an infection. Keep an eye out for any of these symptoms and make sure that you contact us immediately if you feel like you have an infection as a result of your surgery. As long as you follow the hygiene procedures closely, you are less likely to suffer from an infection, but there is always a chance. If you have an oral problem or you just want a consultation, contact us today to find out what we can do for you.
