The Pros of Getting All-On-4 Implants

Tooth loss significantly impacts many aspects of your life - eating, speech, even your confidence. It also has a negative impact on your oral health, as tooth loss leads to bone loss. Dental implants, a permanent solution to tooth loss, restore your smile and help to preserve your jawbone.

Implants can be used to replace any number of missing teeth, including an entire arch. For those missing several teeth, the all-on-4 treatment concept can provide many benefits.

Less Surgery

With conventional implant surgery, your oral surgeon will determine, based on X-rays and an oral exam, how many implants are necessary to properly support an arch of missing teeth (usually ranging between 6 to 8). As the name suggests, the All-on-4 treatment concept utilizes 4 implants per arch (for a total of 8 if you are replacing your top and bottom teeth).

The front two are implanted straight while the two in the back are placed at a 45-degree angle. Less implants means less surgery, as well as less cost.

While implants heal, the titanium rods placed into your jaw fuse with the bone. This creates a permanent, stable support system for your false teeth. Your teeth never need to be removed, unless they need maintenance (in which case, your dentist can remove them). These teeth are made to last a lifetime.

Enhanced Quality of Life
A strong, stable set of false teeth greatly enhances your quality of life. Traditional dentures are meant to do the same, except they are likely to move around in your mouth while you eat and speak, making these actions difficult and causing sores. Implants don't have these issues. You can eat your favorite foods and speak normally without worry.

Low Maintenance
Unlike dentures, which need to be removed each night for tedious cleaning, implants can be cared for just like your natural teeth. Regular brushing and flossing will help to keep plaque and bacteria at bay, helping you to protect your gums from gum disease.

Prevents Bone Loss

The titanium rods placed in your jawbone act similar to your natural tooth roots. This means that they stimulate the jawbone, which tells your body to continue sending the nutrients required to keep it strong. Your jawbone won't deteriorate, helping you to maintain the shape, and integrity, of your jaw.

With a set of full, beautiful teeth, you can smile confidently once again. And the best part is, no one will ever be able to tell that your teeth aren't natural.

The All-on-4 treatment concept restores your smile after tooth loss and helps you to return to your normal life. Contact our office if the All-on-4 treatment concept is right for you!
