Having oral surgery is a serious thing and it means that your mouth will have to rest and recover over time. Eating hard, crunchy, or other similar foods can be hard for a person to do following any oral surgery procedure. You want to make sure that you have some food on hand that you can eat after having oral surgery done. This is a must, as there are many foods that you cannot eat or that might cause harm to the recovery site inside the mouth. Foods to Have on Hand After Oral SurgeryFollowing oral surgery, it is important to stay on a bland, soft food diet for a little bit. Following your procedure, we can provide you with the necessary instructions on what you can and cannot eat.The foods that you should consume should all be soft and easy to swallow with little or no chewing. Consider things like applesauce, yogurt, pasta, and eggs are recommended. Some people enjoy ice cream or Jell-O products that are also easy to eat, plus, the cold feels good in their mouth. Stay away from anything crunchy or sharp, or those food items that need someone to chew them repeatedly.
